Piera & Bachar

I am so delighted to share this charming wedding as we count-down towards festive seasons ahead. One of the favourite things that inspire me a lot is how the couple makes their day irreplaceable; filled with personal touches or adding special poems for their ceremony and these are what they effortlessly did. Gorgeous couples Piera and Bachar live in Doha, Qatar but decided to elope to Uluwatu, Bali for their once in a lifetime event. Attended by closest family & friends, this wedding surely took our breath away! With the divine scenery and ceaseless sound of Indian Ocean’s waves, Piera and Bachar made it exactly the day that they wanted. Piera and Bachar, thank you for choosing us on your wedding and may your marriage be filled with wonderfully happy times.Alila Uluwatu 001 Alila Uluwatu 002 Alila Uluwatu 003 Alila Uluwatu 004 Alila Uluwatu 005 Alila Uluwatu 006 Alila Uluwatu 008 Alila Uluwatu 009 Alila Uluwatu 007 PRM_0399 PRM_0401 1 Alila Uluwatu 011 Alila Uluwatu 012 Alila Uluwatu 013 Alila Uluwatu 014 Alila Uluwatu 015 Alila Uluwatu 016 Alila Uluwatu 017 Alila Uluwatu 010 Alila Uluwatu 018 Alila Uluwatu 019 PRM_0568 PRM_0577 Alila Uluwatu 022 Alila Uluwatu 023 Alila Uluwatu 024 PRM_0586 PRM_0595 PRM_0641 Alila Uluwatu 025 Alila Uluwatu 026 Alila Uluwatu 027 Alila Uluwatu 028 Alila Uluwatu 029 Alila Uluwatu 030 Alila Uluwatu 031 Alila Uluwatu 032 Alila Uluwatu 033 Alila Uluwatu 034 Alila Uluwatu 035 Alila Uluwatu 036 Alila Uluwatu 037 Alila Uluwatu 038 Alila Uluwatu 039 Alila Uluwatu 040 Alila Uluwatu 041 Alila Uluwatu 042 Alila Uluwatu 043 Alila Uluwatu 044 Alila Uluwatu 045 Alila Uluwatu 046 Alila Uluwatu 047 Alila Uluwatu 048 Alila Uluwatu 049 Alila Uluwatu 050 Alila Uluwatu 051 Alila Uluwatu 052 Alila Uluwatu 053 Alila Uluwatu 054 Alila Uluwatu 055 Alila Uluwatu 056 Alila Uluwatu 057 Alila Uluwatu 058 Alila Uluwatu 059 Alila Uluwatu 065 Alila Uluwatu 066 Alila Uluwatu 067 Alila Uluwatu 068 Alila Uluwatu 069 Alila Uluwatu 070 Alila Uluwatu 071 Alila Uluwatu 072 Alila Uluwatu 073 Alila Uluwatu 074 Alila Uluwatu 075 Alila Uluwatu 076 Alila Uluwatu 077 Alila Uluwatu 078 Alila Uluwatu 079 Alila Uluwatu 080 Alila Uluwatu 081 Alila Uluwatu 082 Alila Uluwatu 083 Alila Uluwatu 084 PRM_1030 PRM_0936 PRM_0939 PRM_1703 PRM_0475

Stacy & Oscar

Bali never cease to amaze me. Every corner of the beach, every valley of the mountain and every time the waves roll, it brings a different momentum in life. As a photographer who is a sun-chaser, we get this “golden moment” many times by just observing the spot at different times and let your mind trail somewhere.
I am not the only one who is fully aware of this. Stacy and Oscar came as far as Taiwan to celebrate this union in Bali. For the obvious reason, the scenery that they could not get anywhere else. They wedded at Blue Point chapel, a glass interior chapel with a magnificent view of Indian Ocean. Witnessed by their family, they read their own version of wedding vow. In the moment where i could not understand what the vow was about (chinese is one of the language that i have not mastered, except for the “Hello” and “Thank You”, which i learned from them), it gave me a time to get the golden moment of their emotion expressed through facial experience. My sight became more sensitive with this language barrier which allowed me to appreciate the sanctity of the vow between man and woman.
I wish i can speak more about their wedding. But for now, i hope you enjoy what I captured that day.

Avanti & Adam

There’s a certain moment of pride being the first. This time, I was the first photographer who took photograph of the first wedding at Le Meridien Bali. In late 2011, when the contractor put its first stone there, publication soon began on the opening of the new Le Meridien property in Bali. It echoed through media, newspaper and radio and I read about the grand design of the place. I whispered to myself “hopefully someday”. And that “hopefully someday” brought me to Avanti and Adam’s wedding day in March 2013.
The couple and their cute 3 years old daughter lived in Australia and traveled to Bali just to get their wedding day be celebrated among the love and dear ones who probably feel that traveling to Australia is too far. To me, it was one of the most emotional weddings I have ever photographed, in a good way of course. There’s a beautiful speech of the bride and how she was really glad to be able to find a good person like Adam.
So if a picture tells a thousand words, hopefully these pictures tells a million of emotions.

Veronika & James

Growing up with eight siblings at home, sometimes I wonder, if small and intimate celebration is ever possible for me. I had been happily married for thirteen years, and to answer the question, those intimate affairs are not going to work for me. There will be too many unhappy siblings, nieces, aunts and uncles who are not invited in my wedding and of course another pack of unhappy siblings, nieces, aunts and uncles from my wife’s big family.
I was always amazed with the simplicity and the spontaneity of the destination wedding. Especially when they involve a gathering of loved ones, dining and celebrating on fresh and sumptuous meals while clinking their champagne glasses. What makes it more lovely is being surrounded by the breathtaking landscape. Easy, intimate and lovely !
James and Veronica both live in Singapore. Veronica is a Russian beauty and James is her British prince charming. Lived on the extreme west of European continent and the extreme east of European continent, isn’t it a puzzle that they suddenly met in a foreign place of Singapore?
Soon after they got engaged, they decided to throw a celebration in Bali. They informed their families abroad to come over to Bali to celebrate their heart-warming union. I have it all, from getting ready in the morning and the romantic first dance, it’s too good to be missed.

Jessy + Steward

Each wedding has their own signature and things to remember. Be it a very confident aunt who can’t stop singing in front of the microphone, or a baby who won’t stop crying when vow is being recited. But nothing miserable or negative about Jessy and Stewart’s. It’s how much the FUN the couple had during the wedding.
It was a fine, breezy day in Villa Bayu Sabbha, a cliff villa in Uluwatu with a vintage Balinese architecture. Have I told you that I love adorable children? They got ’em, the cute adorable flower girls and page boy who is so dedicated for the job and seem to follow everywhere the bride went. It’s just so cute.
Then the night seemed to be shorter. Short, because time seem to go away when you have fun. It’s all the fun, the laughter, the dance, and the music that made it a very lively celebration. It’s their day and everybody was just feeling happy and happy for the couple and everybody was let loose.
I hope you dance when things are great, and dance too after the sombre things get sort out in the end. You know, there’s always a rainbow after the rain, and you need to celebrate once you see that rainbow.
